JoBotics Video Game Design classes introduce students to the fundamentals of coding and digital creativity by guiding them through the process of building their own games from the ground up.
Using beginner-friendly tools, students learn how to design characters, create game mechanics, and bring their ideas to life in a structured and engaging environment. No prior experience is required, just creativity and curiosity.
Video game design goes beyond playing games, it helps students understand how technology works while developing valuable thinking and creative skills.
Through this class, students strengthen:
Logical thinking through basic coding and problem-solving
Creativity by designing characters, stories, and gameplay
Focus and persistence while building and improving their games
Confidence as they turn their ideas into something real and playable
Each class includes guided, hands-on activities where students:
Design characters and game environments
Learn basic coding concepts through simple programming tools
Build interactive games step by step
Test, fix, and improve their creations
Share and present their finished projects
Learning how to design video games helps students build confidence with technology while strengthening skills that apply across subjects, especially problem-solving, logic, and creative thinking.
More importantly, it shows them that they can create—not just consume—technology.
