In the Jo-Botics robotics course, students will design and build their own robots while learning how to use sensors and coding to bring their creations to life. Through hands-on challenges, students will explore iteration, testing, improving, and refining their designs to develop robots that can successfully complete real-world missions. This course encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity as students work through obstacles and discover how engineering and programming come together in exciting ways.
Robotics is more than building machines—it helps students develop essential thinking skills they will use in school and beyond.
Through this class, students strengthen:
Problem-solving skills by working through real challenges
Logical thinking through basic coding concepts
Creativity by designing and improving their own builds
Confidence as they complete projects and see results
Each class includes guided, hands-on activities where students:
Build robots using structured kits
Program movement and simple behaviors
Test, adjust, and improve their designs
Work independently and in small groups
Early exposure to robotics helps students become more comfortable with technology while developing skills that apply across subjects—especially in math, science, and problem-solving.
More importantly, it helps them build confidence in their ability to learn and create.
